Educational path

GYROTONIC® METHOD

  • Gyrotonic education starts with a Pre-Training course 6 days (30 hours) in which the basic Gyrotonic Exercises will be learned.
  • It is followed by a Foundation course 12 days (72 hours) in which all exercises of Gyrotonic L1 will be learned, as well as the didactic approach on how to teach.
  • Between the Pre-Training and Foundation courses not more than three months should elapse. Extensions are granted in case it is not possible to keep the timeframe.
  • After a successful completion of the Foundation course, the Apprenticeship time starts. In order to gain teaching experience, 60 teaching hours need to be collected.
  • After collecting 30 hours, it is possible to take the Apprentice Review course.
  • The Apprenticeship time should last between a minimum of half-a-year and a maximum of a year. Extensions are granted in case it is not possible to keep the timeframe.
  • Apprentice Review course 6 days (30 hours). All exercises will be reviewed and open questions answered, before registering for the certification.
  • Certification 3 days (18 hours)After the successful completion of the Certification, a certificate is handed out by the Gyrotonic Headquarters and you are a certified Gyrotonic trainer.
  • Every two years, the teaching license needs to be renewed by taking a course as part of the continuing education.

 

GYROKINESIS® METHOD

  • Gyrokinesis education starts with a Pre-Training course 6 days (30 hours). During this course, the first training format will be taught, as well as part of the second training format.
    One training format contains exercises on the chair, the floor and while standing. The second training format builds upon the first training format.
  • It is followed by a Foundation course 9 days (54 hours). All exercises of the first and second formats will be learned, as well as the didactic approach on how to teach.
  • Between the Pre-Training and Foundation courses not more than three months should elapse. Extensions are granted in case it is not possible to keep the timeframe.
  • After a successful completion of the Foundation course, the Apprenticeship time starts. In order to gain teaching experience, 30 teaching hours need to be collected. After collecting 15 hours, it is possible to take the Apprentice Review Course.
  • The Apprenticeship time should last between a minimum of half-a-year and a maximum of a year. Extensions are granted in case it is not possible to keep the timeframe.
  • Apprentice Review Course 3 days (15 hours). All exercises will be reviewed and open questions answered, before registering for the certification.
  • Certification 3 days (18 hours)
  • After the successful completion of the Certification, a certificate is handed out by the Gyrotonic Headquarters and you are a certified Gyrokinesis trainer.
  • Every two years, the teaching license needs to be renewed by taking a course as part of the continuing education.
